One of the original condominium complexes to be built as part of the revitalization of Downtown East Village, FIRST is aptly named. The complex was developed by real estate power duo FRAM + Slokker and is located steps from the Bow River, RiverWalk and St. Patrick’s Island Park. Compared to its large neighbouring complex Evolution (nearly 500 residential units), FIRST is smaller in size (197 residential units) allowing for a closer sense of community among residents.

Although FIRST’s exterior is conservative in comparison to other downtown developments (like the fuchsia paneling and asymmetric dimensions of INK by Battistella), FIRST’s suites boast an ultra-modern look. Sleek kitchen cabinetry, sliding doors and geometric backsplashes give FIRST a distinctly European feel. The building also contains a series of upper-level terraces and green roofs that envelop the building in a micro-climate and provide residents with ample outdoor space.


About the Developer

FRAM Building Group is an experienced developer active throughout Canada and the United States, having constructed more than 11,000 custom, single family, multi-family, condominium and rental homes, as well as mixed-used and commercial properties.
